Bauman Builders Company History

After spending nearly a decade in the trade, Bauman Builders was founded by Marc A. Bauman. Bauman Builders began operations on November 30th, 2002 as a General Contracting business with an emphasis on both Interior Remodels, including Kitchens and Baths, as well as complete Additions. Marc Bauman began his career with All Star Builders in the Menlo Park/Palo Alto area. During his tenure with All Star, Marc mastered all aspects of the trade while leading a variety of projects. Since its founding Bauman Builders has stressed Craftsmanship, Customer Service and Integrity in all aspects of its business.

As Bauman Builders expanded, Jason Goldsmith joined the Bauman Builders management team in November of 2004 as Manager of Operations and Technology. Jason brings with him an extensive technology background and operational know how.

Bauman Builders provides a rigorous advancement program that develops apprentice carpenters into fully capable lead carpenters.

Our Team

Marc Bauman — Project Management
Marc holds a Class B General Contracting license and is the founder of Bauman Builders. He has worked in the building industry continuously since 1996 and has broad experience in carpentry, in project management and design, and in marketing and systems operations. Marc believes in old-school, solid craftsmanship and is known for his friendly, open, no-gimmicks approach with his clients. From preliminary design to final landscaping, Marc takes pride in working closely with his clients to give them the results they want and deserve.

Marc is a San Jose native, where he lives with his wife and children. His hobbies include bonsai gardening and building custom furniture. Marc is also a big hockey fan.

Rick Evans — Business Development
Rick brings over 30 years of business development experience to Bauman Builders. Rick began his own commercial landscape installation and maintenance company while he was still in college in 1974. He went on to become a real estate investor, mortgage loan professional, and eventually a senior manager in the title and escrow industry, serving the greater Bay Area. Founder of Aesthetic Gardens, Rick has spent many years working with both commercial and residential property owners as an investment counselor, lending professional, and title & escrow executive. He has developed a solid working relationship with a wide spectrum of specialized talent within the Silicon Valley, building a reputation for friendliness, honesty, and a refreshingly old-fashioned work ethic. At Bauman Builders, Rick focuses his attention on developing construction opportunities.

Rick was born in Palo Alto and lives in San Jose. His hobbies are being a husband to his wife of over 30 years and a dad to his eight children.
